A woman has been jailed for life for cutting off her husband’s penis after drugging his tofu with sleeping pills.
Catherine Kieu, 50, was given a life sentence for the July 2011 attack which saw her throw her estranged spouse’s manhood
into a rubbish bin. The Orange County, California district attorney’s
office convicted her of torture and aggravated mayhem and ruled that she
can seek parole in seven years.
Prosecutors said she had laced her partner’s food with sedative ambien and, after he had fallen asleep, tied his limbs to the corners of their bed

was revealed to have screamed ‘You deserve it!’ during the attack,
before going at her 60-year-old husband with a kitchen knife. She then
put her partner’s penis in a garbage disposal before calling the emergency services and telling them that he was bleeding.
In her defence it was argued that Kieu suffered from mental health issues which occurred after she was molested as a child and sexually abused by her husband.
